Tucked away in Desert Hot Springs, The Good House is an intimate boutique hotel and mineral spa, surrounded by lush greenery and framed by the San Jacinto Mountains.

For three nights, we'll make this desert oasis our home away from home, with all overnight accommodations reserved exclusively for The Fleuria Reading Retreat.

Spend your afternoons reading beneath the palms, soaking in the naturally heated mineral pools, or finding your favorite quiet corner of the gardens. From thoughtfully appointed rooms to the Villa's private mineral pool, every space offers a beautiful place to unwind.

This is a retreat where the setting is as much a part of the experience as the books.

FAQs

How do I book with a friend?

We'd love for you to bring a friend! To book together, first add your preferred accommodation to your cart. Then, add the Additional Overnight Guest option ($995) to your cart as a separate item.

The additional guest fee includes all retreat meals, activities and welcome gifts. You'll share the same room and existing bed, so only one accommodation booking is needed for both guests.

Can I attend on my own?

Absolutely! This retreat is designed for readers coming solo as well as those attending with a friend. You'll have opportunities to connect with fellow book lovers throughout the weekend, with plenty of time to enjoy the resort at your own pace.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Friday, January 15: Retreat check-in begins at 5 PM, followed by our welcome dinner. We'll be putting the finishing touches on your accommodations that afternoon, but guests arriving earlier are welcome to enjoy the resort's mineral pools and outdoor spaces while we prepare their rooms.

Monday, January 18: Check-out is at 11 AM. We'll enjoy one final breakfast together before saying our goodbyes.

Want to make a little getaway out of it? Palm Springs is just a short drive away, and we'll share a guide to some of our favorite local spots ahead of the retreat so you can explore before or after your stay.

Is transportation included?

Guests are responsible for their own transportation to and from The Good House in Desert Hot Springs, California. The closest major airport is Palm Springs International Airport (PSP).

Is parking available?

Yes! The Good House offers complimentary on-site parking, with plenty of space for guests. Please note that electric vehicle charging is not available on the property.

Do I need to read a specific book?

Not at all! There's no assigned reading or required book club selection. Bring whatever you're currently reading, whether that's an old favorite, something from your TBR, or a certain highly anticipated release.

Can I book a massage or other spa treatments?

Absolutely! The Good House offers optional spa treatments, including massages and facials, for an additional fee. Appointments are subject to availability and should be arranged directly with the resort.



Can dietary restrictions and food allergies be accommodated?

We'll collect dietary preferences and allergy information before the retreat and work with The Good House's culinary team to accommodate guests whenever possible. Please let us know about any dietary needs in advance.

While we'll do our very best to provide suitable options, we cannot guarantee an entirely allergen-free environment.

Will we have the resort to ourselves?

We've reserved all overnight accommodations at The Good House for our retreat. Our group will have the property to ourselves in the evenings after 4PM, although guests with spa appointments may visit the main pool during the day. The villa pool is completely private to our group.

Are payment plans available?

The Fleuria does not offer payment plans directly. However, eligible guests may have the option to pay in installments through Shop Pay at checkout. Availability, payment schedules and financing terms are determined by Shop Pay.

What is the cancellation policy?

Due to the intimate nature of the retreat and the advance commitments required to host it, all bookings are final and nonrefundable. Reservations may be transferred to another guest with prior written approval from The Fleuria. Please review our full cancellation policy before booking.
